Visiting scholars are typically in residence for a semester or academic year, and must hold a Ph.D. or equivalent. Visiting scholars do not receive financial support from the University of Minnesota or the Department of Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies, but they are provided with office space, library privileges, access to a computer, and a University of Minnesota email account. Visiting Scholars are encouraged to participate in the intellectual life of the department, and they are expected to present their work as part of the Department's Feminist Studies Colloquium Series.
